Finding "Joy"

What brings you "joy" internet? For me it certainly is not receiving an 81% on my Microbiology test. Nor do I glean "joy" from cooking (as most of you know). I do not find it in my mailbox or my laundry machines.

So where is it? How do I find it? Because Lord knows... we need it!

I find "joy" in the strangest of places. (Maybe this is what makes them all the more joyful? When you find the joy in the most unexpected places?)

When fresh flowers are given to you for no reason.

When you crawl into bed at night and find plastic food in between your sheets (priceless).

When your kids actually come back to give you a hug and kiss before school.

When you look at pictures of all the great people in your life.

When you really understand how blessed we are to live our lives serving others..

Joy is all around you Internet...you just have to look for it.

When God closes a door.....

So much has been happening this month that I am growing weary. Lots of options... lots prayer... and lots of waiting.

I hate waiting. I loathe it.

While we wait... while we go through the fire.... the trial... the journey. God does amazing things.
He may say "no" but He says "no" out of love. A deep love that one can not begin to understand.

Thank you Lord for closing doors, thank you for the thorns, may the scars we bear in this life bring others even closer to your heart.

I am taking two classes this term. One is a reading class. This next week we will be attempting to increase our vocabulary size (I feel smarter already!).

Friday means the weekend is almost here. Tonight we are gong to our friends house to play some cards and to eat good food and to laugh and share life together. If you don't have a group of people who you can do life with....get one Internet.
