with wind.

cold wind

and rain.

stinging rain

and I feel lost in the storm.

Occasionally I see

sun

and a peak of blue sky

lures me closer.

But the storm is strong

and it laughs at me.

it pushes me back

and holds me captive

the wind drowns out

my cry

and once again

I feel

lost.

So I cry

and I color my hair

and I cry some more.

Then I pray

and He holds me

And I look up and I see

a rainbow.

Romans 5:1-5

I laughed, I cried...

This weekend,

I travelled to the BIG city

Any city with a Costco is defined as "big" in my family

so maybe I should call it a "gargantuan" city??

Portland

I went to my first "nursing convention"

I scored some free pens and chapstick

I am a "closet hoarder" of free things

(If I start putting ketchup packets in my purse

intervention is necessary.)

This weekend...

I laughed...

hearing stories of "birth"

I cried...

hearing stories of "death"

And I was encouraged...

to find my niche

&

to savour my calling

like lemon meringue pie

life can be sweet and sour

&

beautiful
